- 🌟 LeoVegas Rating and Conclusion
Making the move from the casino into sports betting is a process that is not all that easy to accomplish. LeoVegas is one of few brands that have not only been able to flourish in the casino sector but as a result of their success, now offer a strong sports betting package as well.
- Superb casino and games section
- Lots going on in terms of sports
- Good range of promotions and welcome offer
- Poor design
What the Experts Think – Honest LeoVegas Reviews
Available Sports
While the range of sports does not always make or break for bookmakers, it’s important to have a diverse range that is going to accommodate a wide range of players.
LeoVegas can offer just that and with it comes their standout sports, which includes football, horse racing, tennis, golf and several American-based sports as well.
That being said, they aren’t a brand that is going to go above and beyond what most would consider being a “strong” range. The inclusion of sports such as beach volleyball, chess, bandy and floorball are all nice additions and different, but they lack when it comes to market coverage.
Betting Coverage
Pricing, on the whole, is something that LeoVegas is really good at. They have one of the more competitive pricing sectors that we have tested and can keep up with some of the more established brands in the industry.
As with most bookmakers, it’s not perfect, and there are sections of the site where we feel they struggle. These are generally your niche markets, often things like random handicaps and match events.
That being said, their margins were favourable for punters, priced around the 5% mark overall. To put this into some content, 5% is about where most of the bigger players are, anywhere under is excellent and over 6% would be avoidable.
Website Design, Structure, Layouts and User Experience

The design is one that is quite unique to LeoVegas and to be honest, not one that we love. The positives are that the site is pretty simple looking once you are logged in, and there’s not too much going on, which can make it feel overwhelming.
Downsides are that it feels clumsy, and it’s not all that easy to navigate between the sports that you want to bet on.
For example, as you land on the site, you are greeted with a few games that are currently live and then unless you have the page individually set up, a lot of empty space.
You need to click on the “browse sports” tab at the top of the page to then choose from the pop up the sports that you want to bet. Once you pick, you then land on that page.
We get that they are trying to declutter and make things easier, but to us, it feels like they are actually making things harder as it’s not very intuitive. That being said, the process that they have does work once you are used to it, but it’s not for us.
How to register at LeoVegas?

If you’re looking to register an account with LeoVegas, then you are going to be able to set this up within a couple of minutes. This has been an area of the site that is now streamlined and much more user-friendly. To get started, just follow the step by step guide below:
- Click “Open Account” at the top of the page.
- Choose your welcome offer, or you can choose to not claim any welcome offer. More on these later in this review.
- Enter your name, email address, password and mobile number.
- Enter your postcode and then confirm your address.
- Add your date of birth and your gender.
- You will then be asked to verify your account before you can make a deposit.
Sports Welcome Bonus – Double Winnings

With your new account, you are going to be able to take advantage of the LeoVegas welcome offer. This is a profit boost based on your first bet.
To trigger this, you need to deposit £10 or more and then head to your account to activate the promotion. Once you have placed a bet at odds of even money greater, you will then be able to activate your promotion.
If your bet wins, then LeoVegas will pay out double your profit from that bet up to a maximum of £100. A qualifying bet is one that is placed on the in-play betting markets and is priced at even money or higher. You also need to place this bet vie the LeoVegas betting app.
You need to make sure that you place your first bet within seven days of opening your account.
Compare LeoVegas with other bookmakers
In-play sports betting
One of the negatives to live betting at LeoVegas is that there is no dedicated live betting section. Instead, all you get is access the homepage, and this has any upcoming markets. Given how other bookies approach it, it seems very basic.
What you get is not too bad in terms of games and they cover a decent range of sports. However, when we stack it up against some of the best, they lack both in coverage and in terms of the market depth.
Things improve as you move into the games, though. It’s a simple-looking section, but one that we like. You can expand and close each market group, and you have a nice match centre attached to each game as well.
Sports betting products
eSports Betting
eSports betting is starting to play an increasing role within the LeoVegas set up. It’s taken a while to start filtering through, and it’s not as big as we have seen, but there is still plenty to get your teeth stuck into.
In terms of games, the main ones on offer are that of Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, DOTA 2 and League of Legends. These are, without doubt, the main games in the sector right now, but the lack of additional, smaller games means that it struggles in terms of depth.
LeoVegas Casino

We think that it’s fair to say that LeoVegas is best known for their online casino work over their sports betting. Given that sports betting is still new on the site, it makes sense, really.
The casino is one of the best in the industry right now, and they have been received several industry-based awards on the back of their good work. Given that it’s powered by the likes of NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Microgaming and Play N’Go, amongst others, it’s pretty clear from the outset that they are going to be good.
One of the most impressive things that we noticed is the diversity. Yes, they have hundreds of slots to choose from, but their range of table games, video poker, scratch cards and jackpot games make it what it is.
Casino Welcome Promotion – £100 in Welcome Bonus Offers + 50 Wager-Free Spins

If the sports betting welcome offer is not for you, then you’re going to be able to get a hold of a brilliant casino welcome offer. The bonus depends on the deposit you make. Deposit £10, £25 or £50. To max your reward out you need to deposit £50 twice or more to trigger a £100 casino bonus (£50 on two deposits).
Once the bonus has been applied to your account, you need to wager through the bonus 35 times before you can withdraw the bonus money. You have 30 days to do so before the bonus expires.
What’s great about this offer is that you are also able to get up to 50 worth of free spins for the Big Splash Splash slot across your first two deposits. Mind you that free spins are worth £0.10 each. These free spins come with no wagering, meaning that any winnings you get, you keep as cash.
Live Casino

The live casino is another welcomed addition to the LeoVegas line up. This is powered by the likes of Evolution Gaming, NetEnt and even in-house games from LeoVegas.
There are dozens of games in total, including blackjack, roulette, Chambre separee, game shows, VIP games and poker games. In fact, the range of games is one of the biggest and best that we have seen, so if live casino is your thing, these guys are worth a go.
Live Casino Welcome offer – Up to £50 cash + £6 in Chips

For those of you looking to take on the live casino, you are also able to claim a dedicated casino bonus just for these games.
The bonus is a 100% match up to £50 + £6 in Chips and it is activated by making a deposit of minimum £10 and wagering it 40 times. You get 7 days to do so, and any bonus that has not been cleared after this time will be forfeited.
LeoVegas Mobile apps

Both the casino and the sportsbook can be accessed via dedicated Leovegas app for Android and iOS devices. If you have another platform, then you simply need to visit the site on your smartphone’s browser, and you will get access to their mobile site.
To download the iOS app, you need to head to your App Store and download directly from that. For the Android version, you need to head to the Google Play store and then download directly from there.
It’s worth noting that the app has won several awards over the years. The most recent (and prestigious) is that of the “Best Native App” at the EGR Marketing and Innovation awards in 2017.
Payment options
As you would expect from one of the bigger brands, you get a good range of banking options to choose from. Deposits are all processed immediately, and withdrawals range from 1-2 days for e-Wallets, 2-4 days for cards, and up to 5 days for bank transfer.
You get three free withdrawals per month and then following that this will be charged at £3 per transaction. You are also limited to £20,000 worth of withdrawals per month, although this can be increased based on your VIP level.

A huge part of obtaining a license from them is player safety and safety of player funds, so this is obviously something that they have worked hard on.
LeoVegas also state that they use SSL certificated throughout the site and do not store any sensitive information or files that are needed for account verification on their servers.
Affiliate program
LeoVegas have one of the biggest affiliate programs in the industry, especially when it comes to casino games. The level of revenue that you can earn is based on the amount that your players play each month.
It starts from as little as 25% for less than £5,000 and works up to 40% for anything over £30,000. As you build up a database of players, the affiliate system can become highly lucrative.

Overall rating
LeoVegas have one of the best betting packages of any company in the world right now. Their casino is pretty much faultless, and they continue to impress with their work within the mobile sector.
The only negative that we can come up with is the lack of any real identity when it comes to the layout of the sportsbook. It has all the tools, but they need to work how they put it together to be regarded as one of the best in this sector.
Our overall rating for LeoVegas is 8.5/10.
