How Does Deal or No Deal on Hollywoodbets Work?

deal or no deal live on hollywoodbets

As mentioned before, Deal or No Deal is a slightly complicated live casino game due to the various rounds involved. Although it is based on the TV show, there are some noticeable differences when playing this version.

Qualification Round

To take part in the main game, which you will need to do to stand a chance of winning money, you must first qualify. During the brief qualification round you will find there are three rings, each featuring some gold segments and some grey. In order to qualify, players need to spin the wheel so that three gold segments align in the 12 o’clock position, as indicated by the flashing arrow.

Each spin of the wheels costs money, as indicated by the ‘bet’ amount. The reason some players might bet more than the minimum permitted is that it increases the value of the briefcases that will appear in the game. The value of each briefcase is simply a multiplier of the stake that successfully qualifies. This starts at 0.1x for briefcase 1 and goes up to 50x for briefcase 15 and 65 to 500x for briefcase 16.

It is important to note that failed qualification spins do not impact the value of the briefcases. It is only the successful bet that counts.

The other element of qualification is the level of difficulty. Users can select from either normal, easy or very easy, before making their spin. Within normal mode, each spin costs the specified stake and it spins all three wheels.

With easy mode, one of the wheels will be locked in the gold qualification position, meaning users only have to line up two. Spinning on this mode costs three times the stake. Finally, on very easy mode, the game will lock two of the wheels in the qualifying position, meaning users must only spin one. This makes it much easier to qualify but each spin costs nine times the stake.

Top-Up Round

If qualified, players move onto what is known as the top-up round. During this stage customers can increase the value of any suitcase(s) they wish. To do this, they just need to select a suitcase from the 16 available and spin the wheel. The wheel contains a range of values and whatever value the wheel lands on will be added to that suitcase.

Players can repeat this process as many times as they want until the timer runs out. The cost of each spin is determined by the specified stake, and the player can adjust the figure up or down at any time. Betting more during a top-up spin increases the values present on the wheel, which in turn adds more value to suitcases. Most of the wheel segments are worth 5x to 25x of the stake but the red segment is worth 50x.

The top-up round is optional so there is no obligation to make any spins if you do not wish.

Game Show Round

Now it is time for the exciting part. One of the presenter’s assistants will start by opening three boxes, revealing the numbers of three briefcases that will disappear from the game. At this point, the banker will make you your first offer based on the value of the suitcases still in play. It is up to you whether to take this offer (deal) or decline it (no deal).

Doing nothing will automatically default to no deal. If selecting ‘no deal’, the game continues and the process repeats, only this time with four briefcases removed before the next offer.

Eventually, if you keep opting for no deal, only two briefcases will remain. You can either stick with the briefcase on the main table or swap it with the other remaining one. Whatever the value of that box is the amount you will win.

Payouts and Odds of Deal or No Deal

The published RTP (Return to player) for Deal or No Deal Live is 95.42% so a little lower than some other live casino games but is still reasonably high and comparable to many online slots.

Players can win up to 500x the value of their successful qualifying bet. For this to happen they would need box 16 to have the maximum value and for it to be the box they choose at the end of the game.

Strategies and Tips for Deal or No Deal on Hollywoodbets

deal or no deal strategies and tips

Although Deal or No Deal is a luck-based game, there are strategies worth following to enhance your gameplay. Ultimately, there’s no right or wrong way when it comes to how to play Deal or No Deal on Hollywoodbets. There are merely riskier and more cautious approaches.

Keep track of your spending

Ensure you know how much you have bet during the qualification and top-up rounds. You will therefore be in a more informed place to accept or decline the banker’s offer.

Accept generous offers when they come

If a banker offers you twice or more the amount you have put into the game, it is well worth considering. The only exception is if there are lots more red boxes than blue boxes remaining. This would be a strong position for the player.

Top up a few briefcases

Rather than focussing on one briefcase during the top-up round, consider adding value to three or four instead. You will cover your back more this way, making it more likely one increased-value box stays in the game.

Remember that qualification is not guaranteed

If you are low on funds, you should not bet big during qualification as you could end up wasting money. It’s better to set a lower stake, to ensure progress, and use any leftover funds during the top-up round.
