A solid but unspectacular casino

Having reviewed more casinos than I care to count over the years, it is hard to suggest that Bet9ja excels in any particular area. It does not boast a huge selection of games, it lacks a particularly innovative website or market-leading promotions and it can’t compete with the best customer support offered elsewhere. Despite all this though, for any players based in Nigeria, Bet9ja casino will comfortably be among the best options available.

This is because this is an online casino that has local support and one that accepts a wide range of the most common payment methods used in Nigeria. With extremely low deposit limits too, it is very easy for locals to play their favourite casino games here. Some methods do charge, admittedly, but the fees tend to be relatively small.

It is not as though the casino is poor by any means, either. I found it to be very soundly structured, with sensible menus, and it features a respectable (if not massive) number of games, especially when it comes to table games. You can even try games out for free in the ‘demo’ mode before you start playing with real money, which is very welcome. Stylish, organised, and diverse. Over 640 games, sports, and virtual betting, Bet9JA is a decent choice.

Bet9JA is a site I enjoyed from the start. I first noticed the striking colour scheme upon accessing the website. The site is organised and neat, with a banner across the top displaying the various promos and bonuses. I like the menu on the left, where you can see the different games with the total option in each genre.

With over 640 games, I'm sure every casino fan will find an option. I give top marks for the live dealer lobby. It's compact yet comprehensive, and the possibilities include the best options!

As I scrolled down the landing page, I discovered all the usual links; like About Us, Terms & Conditions, Apps, and more. The top part links the sportsbook, virtual games, and live betting. The Bonus terms aren't predatory, and I found them reasonable.

From my experience, the only thing lacking was a recognisable welcome bonus for the casino. There are various promos involving different games; nevertheless, I'd prefer a decent welcome bonus for signing up as a punter.

Site Needs Urgent Improvements!

It is clear that BET9JA is primarily geared towards the local Nigerian audience, however it does not support local languages such as Hausa or Yoruba. Certainly, this deprives a large segment of players who do not speak English fluently from accessing the website.

As for the platform design, it’s hard to say that it creates a good feel for users as the red, green and grey aren’t visually appealing. Moreover, it seems that the layout has not been updated for ages as its design is outdated and does not work smoothly on smartphones.

As for the other aspects, I have noticed that the site does not put the Nigerian sports leagues in the lead, although they will certainly be wanted by most visitors. There is also no section for promotional offers and bonuses in the casino, and there is no direct link to contact customer service. After all was said and done, the thing that can be a deal breaker for most players is that the casino shows no signs of accepting crypto.

The casino section has only 700 games which is a limited number compared to other casinos. However, the operation of all the games was smooth, fast and hassle-free as well. After conducting my test, I felt that they were worth no more than a 3-star rating.
